Description

"Dea Latis" (named after the Celtic-Roman Goddess of refreshing drinks) is much admired wherever she sails and is very easily handled by 1 or more crew.

She is for sale now, fully equiped as detailed below. Currently located near Auxerre she is ideally located to make the trip North to Paris & Champagne, South East via the Bourgogne or South via the Yonne & Nivernais.

At 14.9m she requires no additional licencing or inspections and is small enough to fit into & be accepted by most marinas, she is also designed to fit under the tightest of bridges on the French waterways.

She was built in the UK by Piper Boats in the UK, launched in September 2014 and sailed across the Channel by David Piper with ourselves as crew in 2017.
She is constructed externally of Steel and has Vetus Double Glazed Windows with "Thermal Break" technology to avoid internal condensation, Teak Doors & Mast.
Air Conditioning is fitted to the Bedroom which can also provide cooling to the Saloon.

Certificated to Category C, she is fitted with all the necessary equipment to meet this specification and is ideal for River and Canal navigation: VHF DSC Radio, AIS Transponder & Chart Plotter displaying other ships in the area and offering collision avoidance. Dea Latis is fully insulated and double-glazed throughout. Central Heating is provided by the Kabola oil-fired boiler heats radiators in the Wheelhouse, Saloon, Master bedroom a Dual Powered Heated Towel Rail in the Shower Room.
The Galley is equipped with: a 4 ring gas Hob, Oven with Grill, Fridge/Freezer, Microwave, Dishwasher & Sink and Drainer, an extractor cooker hood, and a good amount of storage. At the foot of the steps from the Wheelhouse is the Main Electrical Control Panel, the Tank Contents Gauges & Central Heating & Generator Controllers.

Toilets: Both Toilets are fitted with Jabsco Electric Flush & Macerators.

Bow Thrusters: Equipped with Bow & Stern electric Thrusters - traditionalists & purists will say you do not need any thrusters on a barge, and certainly not 2, but they make life much easier especially for those with less experience and make getting in & out of tight spaces a much less stressful experience for the skipper and those moored nearby.
