A true classic Gentleman’s motoryacht from a bygone era; Hyskeir was designed by John Bain. Using this Silver Leaf class design she was built at the Scottish boatyard of James A. Silver Ltd in 1937. Hyskeir was named by her first owners after the Lighthouse which at the southern end of the Minch between the Outer Hebrides and mainland Scotland. Shortly after her launch Hyskeir was to join, like many of her sisterships, Operation Dynamo which is better known to us all as Dunkirk in 1940. Originally commissioned for Jean Mirabaud of Mirabaud Bank who at the time was a very fine sailor, representing the Swiss in growing the International Rating Rule. Today we find Fly X in not just cruising ‘spec’ with a cabin top, but also a very interesting rudder which was fitted by her previous owner to allow for an engine/propeller. Fly X can be found in storage at the Camatte Museum where she is awaiting a full restoration to bring her back to an origin... read more

Buchanan Sea Spray   £7,000
TOKI, the magnificent SEASPRAY 26, holds a special place in maritime history. Built by Priors of Burnham on Crouch, she took her first dip in April 1953, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey. After a period of rest on land, TOKI underwent an impressive restoration in 1995, earning her a sound and seaworthy status. With her adventurous Isle of White owner, she explored the Solent, Pool & Chichester, and even conquered a few channel crossings. In 2000, she proudly claimed the Renaissance Trophy for Classic yachts in the Round the Island race. Passing through different hands, TOKI ... read more
