The yacht is a well maintained and tidy 29ft fin keel GRP sailing cruiser with a spacious saloon, an aft cabin and a separate heads compartment. The cockpit is well organised for crewed or short handed sailing, with enough space for lounging in port. The yacht has a sail plan that works well in both light winds and has options for more windy weather. It has had considerable maintenance work over the years which keeps the yacht dry, safe and updated. Over a number of years this work has included: new mast and harken genoa furler (by previous owner), replacement 3 reef modern mainsail boom, replacement keel bolts, window sealant replaced, new Harken winches, replacement batteries, replacement instruments, recent standing rigging, recently 12 years of old antifouling has been removed, replacement VHF antenna and VHF mast cable, in 2024 a replacement propellor shaft and the feathering propellor refurbished. The mainsail and genoa sails are tri radial design and in good order. The yacht has two very useful spinnakers of a manageable size for a shorthanded crew. The yacht has a Sport version interior which is less cluttered and has a slightly lighter displacement compared the more usual Sun Way 29. The yacht is perfect for a small family, a couple or fully crewed. For local club fun racing 3-4 crew is a good crew number but for the IOW RTIR even 6 can be work fine. Over the past 15 years the yacht has competed a number of times in the IOW RTIR, for which it is ideally suited. For 2024 the yacht has racing handicaps/ratings for IRC, VPRS, and YTC. The current owner cruises and day sails sometimes solo, often double handed or three on board. The current owner has made a number of useful small modifications to make sail handling easier, better suited for a swinging mooring/anchoring tackle and increased the number of hand holds in the saloon. The yacht has been set up by the current owner to be versatile in use. It is rewarding when sailed gently on calm days, or on fast coastal passages or cross English Channel trips. The engine starts very easily, is usefully powerful, regularly serviced, the injectors have been replaced recently and at the same time the cylinders were compression tested as OK. Ready to sail away it is an easily manageable, low maintenance fast cruiser that offers opportunities for low annual berthing costs and easy for finding space the UK south coast summer crowded marinas. Full details and a gallery can be found on link provided to the owners private web site. The yacht is usually wintered out of the water between January to March and would be easily available for underwater areas inspection though this period. In January 2024: The required 10 year insurance survey was completed. The saloon seat cushions replaced with new in 2024.
