Description

Launched in April 2011, Ettie crossed the English Channel to France in June of that year and has since travelled extensively throughout France, Belgium and the Netherlands. She has been a fabulously comfortable summer cruising home for two people, with additional accommodation for friends in both a two berth guest cabin and an occasional double bed in the wheelhouse.

In our 14 years of cruising we have covered 14,193 miles and passed through 6,125 locks travelling between the fabulous Canal du Midi and the Mediterranean coast to Friesland in the north of Holland. It has been a wonderful life afloat and we have made many new friends along the way and visited lots of interesting places.

Ettie is currently based in Burgundy and, having been in Europe before the 31st December 2020, retains the Union Status where VAT has been accounted for.

This Piper 60ft Replica Barge is in excellent condition and is very well equipped for comfortable cruising and living afloat. She is being sold fully equipped and ready for her next adventures with new owners.

Accommodation

The living area has premium oak woodwork, cream walls and ceilings and has an engineered oak flooring throughout. All windows are double glazed, the hull is spray foam insulated and all areas have central heating radiators, electric sockets plus very good storage. Good ventilation below is achieved with opening side windows, the opening dog box and three opening deck hatches.

The comfortable saloon has 6 large opening windows, a leather corner settee, a Samsung TV & many storage cupboards and book cases.

The well equipped Galley has a 4 burner gas cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine and excellent storage. Ettie Sleeps 4, comfortably in two cabins (6 with optional wheelhouse bed).

The collapsible Sapele wheelhouse provides an excellent social space with fold down front screen, port and starboard doors plus French style doors to the large aft deck. The bench seats convert to a double bed.

The master cabin has a walk around double bed with en-suite toilet and washbasin, a large hanging wardrobe with drawers underneath plus plenty of additional cupboards.

The guest cabin has two single beds, storage drawers and wardrobe and the main shower room is between the two cabins.

Construction

Lloyds grade A steel, 12mm Baseplate, 8mm Chines & Sides, 5mm superstructure. Spray Foam Insulated.

Ettie is keel cooled and powered by Beta 105 engine fitted with one high output 24 volt and one 12 volt alternator and a Mastervolt battery management system. The Vetus bowthruster gives excellent manoeuvrability. The barge has high volume fuel and water tanks. Electrical control is by Mastervolt and on board electricity generation is from a Whisper generator plus 2 Sunpower 320w solar panels with Victron MPPT controller.
