"ARRAN" crossed the English Channel to France in 2011 and has been moored on the Canal du Midi since 2018.
The comfortable saloon has large opening windows, a Refleks stove, a reclining settee, a fold up breakfast table & entertainment centre. The well equipped Galley has a 4 burner cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer plus excellent storage. Sleeps 4 in two cabins (6 with optional wheelhouse bed). This Piper 60ft Replica Barge is in excellent condition and is very well equipped for comfortable cruising and living afloat.
The master bedroom has a walk round double bed, walk in en-suite shower room with toilet, a large hanging locker, full height book shelves plus plenty of cupboards and drawers. The guest cabin has two single beds, storage drawers and cupboards and the second shower room is directly opposite.
The collapsible Sapele wheelhouse provides a good social space with fold down front screen, port and starboard doors plus French style doors to the large aft deck (with roof cover). The aft deck becomes a "conservatory" when the clear screens are fitted. The bench seats convert to a double bed.
The living area has premium oak woodwork, white walls and ceilings with LED lights and is carpeted throughout. All windows are double glazed, the hull is spray foam insulated, including the bottom and all areas have central heating radiators, electric sockets plus very good storage. Good ventilation below is achieved with opening side windows, the opening dog box and four opening deck hatches with Oceanaire Skyscreens.
"ARRAN" is powered by a keel tank cooled Vetus Deutz DT44 114HP engine fitted with twin high output 24 volt/80 amp alternators and an Adverc battery management system. The variable speed Sleipner Side Power bowthruster gives excellent manoeuvrability. The barge has high volume fuel and water tanks. Electrical control is by Victron Energy and on board electricity generation is from a 5kw Northern Lights generator plus six solar panels.
We have owned "ARRAN" from new and have cruised on many of the canals and rivers in France and Belgium and she is ready for her next adventures.
