Saturnus was acquired in 2006 by its current owners, who made it their primary residence in 2016. This tjalk is therefore very functional for both sailing and living. Very well maintained by enthusiasts (the photos in the hold date from 2024 when it was repainted), its layout makes it ideal for life on board with approximately 40m² of living space excluding the engine room and forepeak. Its spacious 11m² wheelhouse/saloon offers a very pleasant space both at dock and at sea, where passengers, guests, and the pilot can gather. A starboard forward corridor leads to the port cabin, then to a spacious owner's cabin. The aft area is divided into a galley on the starboard side with all the necessary amenities (dishwasher, oven, large refrigerator, washer and dryer, etc.) and a bathroom on the port side. Central heating, a filtration system, a recent generator, and Victron solar and electrical systems contribute to autonomy and comfort. The engine room at the rear is easily accessible from the outside. A full bulkhead separates it from the living area, preventing diesel, oil, and engine odors from entering the latter. It offers a headroom height of 1.90 m and houses all the technical equipment (boiler, batteries, generator, Victron Multiplus, etc.). There is enough space for a small workshop.
There is plenty of storage space and the boat's volume is well utilised, including:
- the 60cm deep dressing room in the forward cabin, which spans the entire width of the boat (3x2m), offers a volume of over 3m³.
- The side cabin has storage space 1m deep by 2.50m wide (corresponding to the space available at the wheelhouse in the saloon).
- The benches in the saloon have large storage compartments.
- The wheelhouse has a 70 cm high space under its floor, accessible via the staircase in the galley area. Covering approximately 12 m², this provides around 8 m³ of additional storage space. The tanks are located at the front of this space and are also well designed in terms of stability and ‘life on board/navigation’ priorities:
- Two 1,000-litre water tanks, on the port and starboard sides, are connected and offer a comfortable volume without altering the boat's trim. They are connected to the filtration unit located in the bow.
- One 1000-litre fuel tank for central heating and the generator. The emphasis has been placed on autonomy on board.
- One 450-litre diesel tank, a comfortable volume for sailing given the engine's fuel efficiency.
The bottom, with the exception of the front and rear tips, is no longer original but welded. (Latest hull survey from 2017 available). The Community Certificate is valid until 1 June 2026. Some items shown in the photos are not included in the sale (see the downloadable PDF appendix), as well as personal effects.
A truly high-quality unit, available for all projects, a must-see.
