Trio is a loved and well maintained 1921 Tjalk converted into a liveaboard houseboat that's been our home for the last 9 years. We are hoping to pass her on to someone who will treasure her and look after her for the next phase of her life.
She is a well set up and full of character barge that's ready to move in with all essential comforts whilst offering the possibility to personalise her and adapt her to your own needs.
She is currently permanently moored in Halling, Kent (the mooring space isn't included but might be possible to negotiate with the marina owners) and is ideally set up for life in a marina - however, with a few minor adjustments (ie. solar panels) she could be converted into a continuously cruising vessel as well, as the engine is fully operational and in good shape.
In regards to floor plan, she has a spacious deck with plenty of existing storage and space for additional one on the outside; a good-sized kitchen with modern amenities (electric 4 hobs cooker with oven and grill and a Smeg fridge!), a 9mt long living room space with a powerful and cozy wood burner, a spacious built-in corner sofa (that doubles as a sofa bed), a TV and shelving; a large bathroom with 1x sink, 1x toilet, and 1x walk-in shower with a sit-in bathtub; a main double bedroom with plenty of storage and a smaller bedroom that can accommodate 1 or 2 people, accessible through the main bedroom.
There are 10x brass portholes across the length of the barge and 4x Iroko skylights (3x in the living room, and 1x in the main bedroom) creating a lovely light across the space.
Trio is finished by beautiful 1950s teak flooring (except for the bathroom which is finished in linoleum for ease of upkeep) and tongue and groove ceiling.
She was fully replated in 2016 when we purchased her and last out of the water March-April 2024, where she was surveyed and blackened.
She truly is a wonderful, cozy home.
