WAPITI is the first WEYMOUTH 32 built by JAMES&CADDY and she is born with this name in 1971. These are known as NELSON or HAMATIC boats, which are very well known and highly regarded in the United Kingdom. They are essentially working boats.
She spent a long time in Jersey and was then acquired by a vet from Douarnenez in France. After the latter's death, the co-owner put her up for sale and she remained afloat in Douarnenez for three years. I bought it for €14,000 in 2023. She was transported by road to La Rance, where she is now moored. The launch is currently seaworthy.
Since acquiring her, I have carried out and commissioned numerous works and purchases, all of which are justified by invoices (approximately €30,000), and by inspecting the boat. From previous owner I have maintenance and repair invoices since 2004.
Basic equipment (non-exhaustive list):
Glazed saloon with wooden benches and table, storage space and helm station. Galley with storage space, 24V refrigerator and oven + 2 gas burners (2 bottles in cockpit locker), wet room with washbasin and marine toilet, forward cabin with sleeping space for 2 people, storage space and wardrobe. Saloon can be converted into an extra bed. Cold fresh water under pressure from electric pump. 24V lighting. Navigation: working depth sounder, working VHF, working GPS with plotter (memory cards obsolete), working electro-hydraulic autopilot. Three electric bilge pumps and one manual bilge pump. 24V electric windlass with remote control. Battery charger. 230V circuit on shore power connection. Grounding supports integrated into the hull. Stainless steel davits.
