Description

Well-maintained Elysian 27 (1978) river cruiser for sale, currently dry docked at Castelsarrasin, near Toulouse. A perfect small boat for canal cruising. As a young couple we have enjoyed five amazing summers on this boat, living aboard and cruising the rivers and canals from Dijon to Bordeaux.

We invested time and energy into an interior renovation of the boat when we bought it in 2016 (including repainting, resealing windows, new cushions and curtains), and have kept it in good condition since. The previous owners were also a sailing family so the boat has always been well looked after and well maintained.

Lark is well suited to a couple or small family, perfect for weekend trips or longer stays. She has four berths, including two in the forward cabin (v-berth, which can be converted into two singles) which has its own sink. The head is a simple Jabsco pump WC in a separate cabin. The galley has a four burner gas hob and 45lt capacity 12v Webasto fridge. There is no oven in the boat but we have a separate small gas oven with two hobs that can be used on the boat or transported to the towpath for outdoor eating as well as a Magma gas marine BBQ.

The saloon has a four seater table and benches which can be converted into a double berth. There is a large water tank (88 Litres), and separate hot water tank (30 L) heated by the engine calorifier providing hot water for >24h without the engine needing to run. The well proven and reliable Vetus 33HP Diesel engine (24 kw) has been consistently maintained. There are two 120 Wh leisure batteries, in addition to the starter battery. The boat also comes fitted with 2x 150W solar power solar with a Victron charge controller allowing you to keep track of battery charge via iOS app. During summer this provided ~700Wh/day meaning you are entirely self sufficient without shore power or needing to run the engine, while still keeping electrics running and using wifi, laptops, phones, speakers etc. Unusually, the boat is also fitted with a large external 4G antenna and 4G router providing a reliable WiFi connection and faster speeds than we sometime get at home in the UK

The flybridge is shaded by a large Bimini and provides a great area for entertaining. The outdoor seating can be converted into an additional single berth. There is a teak swim platform fitted with ladder.

The boat comes with a full service history, spare parts for many items and all the tools necessary to keep the boat in good health. She was kept in the water until 2022 when we had her moved to the dry dock to check for osmosis. Although we haven't had a survey done, there is no visible osmosis on the hull.
