Description
OSSEO - Dutch Sailing Barge (Tjalk), built 1890
An 18.18 m iron-and-steel former working barge, converted for accommodation. The current mast, sails and weatherboards were made in Enkhuizen (Netherlands) in 1991. After being purchased in Enkhuizen in 1991, the boat was used extensively in France, Holland and the Mediterranean until 2018.
A refurbishment and internal rearrangement was started in 2018/2019 (reducing from 3 cabins / 2 WC / 2 showers to 2 cabins / 2 WC / 2 showers), but the works could not be completed. OSSEO is now offered for sale as a working project (polyurethane foam insulation fitted).
