The best view of the town is from the Pont Paul Bert, built in 1857, where there has been a bridge of one kind or another since the Romans came to town. From Auxerre you can visit the Chablis vineyards in northern Burgundy. On the waterways, an upstream cruise on the L’Yonne takes you to the Nivernais canal, or downstream to the Burgundy canal or the River Seine.
This is a beautiful region of France and a Captained cruise afloat on board Vent Du Nord will leave you hugely satisfied and relaxed like you’ve never been before....
